I don't do what I want to do 
I do the very thing I hate
In spite of my desires, I can't get straight 
But all You ever do is love me 
And all I ever do is run
Burning down the night with my back to the Son 

We all want to get to Heaven
But get there on our own accord
Because everybody wants a Savior
But nobody wants a Lord
Everybody wants a Savior

I'm standing this side of the cross
I still find myself looking down
Wearing forgiveness more like a leash than a crown 
When I'm at the end of my rope 
Entangled in my sin 
Lord help me remember You've still got the other end
